The Kenridge Neighbourhood Initiative has been set up as a voluntary association with a legally binding CONSTITUTION. The main objectives of the KNI are:
- To supply Armed Patrol vehicles dedicated to the Kenridge area. As an optional extra, we will arrange for the monitoring of member's alarm systems. DONE - 2 dedicated vehicles already patrolling and dedicated alarm installation and monitoring company appointed.
- To establish a 24 hour manned control room where members can report suspicious activity and request assistance. DONE.
- To create a community where we all feel safe and secure.
- To create a community where we get to know each other and participate in community activities.
Next Target
R85,000 per month to ensure payment for the 2 cars and additional Control Room staff. These are currently being subsidized by CN Installations.
