A car in Alf St was broken into and a laptop and money was stolen.
01 Jun 10 Oak Lane
At 16:43 a KNI Member from Oak Lane reported a suspicious white Nissan bakkie with registration number CY 49049 in De Villiers Ave driving towards the Kenridge Primary School. Two coloured males inside the bakkie. KNI Armed Response were dispatched and patrolled the surrounding areas and found no suspicious Nissan bakkie, a search for the vehicle was conducted.
01 Jun 10 Phesantekraal Rd
A NON KNI member's home was broken into. A door was forced open. Jewelry and money was stolen.
01 Jun 10 Roozeboom Rd
At 10:39 a KNI Member from Roozeboom Rd contacted the KNI Control Room and reported two suspicious males and a female, dressed in blue overalls, walking down the road staring at houses. KNI Armed Response were dispatched and found no suspicious persons, patrols were conducted.
31 May 10 Kenridge Ave
At 12:14 a KNI Member in Kenridge Avenue contacted the KNI Control Centre and reported a coloured male walked through her gate and started peeking through her front windows, suspect wearing a blue overall. KNI Armed Response were dispatched and on arrival the KNI Armed Response officer approached the male and was told that he is looking for work. The KNI Armed Response officer told him there are no jobs in the area and to leave. The male became agitated and used abusive language towards the KNI Armed Response officer. The KNI Armed Response officer escorted the male out of the area.
31 May 10 Ongegund St
At 12:26 a KNI Member from Ongegund St phoned the KNI Control Room and reported a minibus with one male standing in front of a house in Ongegund St. KNI Armed Response were dispatched and on arrival no minibus was found in Ongegund St. Patrols were conducted in search of the suspicious minibus.
31 May 10 Tafelberg Ave
At 14:50 a KNI Member from Tafelberg Ave contacted the KNI Control Room and reported a suspicious male wandering in the road looking at houses. KNI Armed Response were dispatched and found no suspicious persons in the road or surrounding area.
29 May 10 De Villiers Ave
At 11:42 a KNI Member from Kortgedacht Cl contacted the KNI Control Room and reported three suspicious young males walking in De Villiers Avenue, checking out houses. They look between the ages of 10-15 years old. KNI Armed Response were dispatched and on arrival they reported that the young males are staying on the Altydgedacht farm and are en route home. The KNI Member was contacted and given feedback and the KNI Member was very thankful with the quick response.
29 May 10 Meerendal Rd
At 06:30 a KNI Member from Meerendal Rd contacted the KNI Control Room and reported that one of her vehicles had been broken into and a black laptop bag had been stolen, with lots of student text books inside the bag. KNI Armed Response were informed of the situation. KNI Armed Response were also informed that the KNI Member could not wait for the Police as she was on her way to the airport and said when she gets back on Sunday, 30 May 2010, the police can take statements and check for finger prints. KNI Armed Response were informed to conduct extra patrols and to be on the lookout for any suspicious vehicles and persons.
29 May 10 Soshanna Rd
At 14:46 a KNI Member from Soshanna Rd contacted the KNI Control Room and reported a blue Golf driving slowly with four coloured male occupants, down the road. KNI Armed Response were dispatched, found the car and spoke to the driver who said they are working at a house further down the road. The KNI Control Room tried phoning the KNI Member to inform him of feedback but there was no reply.
