23 Feb 10 Woolf St
At 21h10 a KNI Member from Woolf Street contacted the Control Centre and reported a suspicious, old Honda Ballade, grey or light green driving up and down the street. KNI Armed Response responded at 21h11 and reported back at 21h16. The vehicle was visiting a home in Woolf St. The KNI Member was given feedback at 21h26.
22 Feb 10 Woolf St
At 12h09 a KNI Member from Woolf St, Kenever, contacted the Control Centre and reported two black men knocking on doors in Soshanna Street. The one was wearing a khaki cap and pants, and the other, a white shirt and dark pants. KNI Armed Response responded and reported back at 13h15. No men with the above description to be found, but will keep on patrolling.
20 Feb 10 Bulawayo Ave
At 10h05 a KNI Member from Bulawayo Ave contacted the Control Centre and reported her son picked up a pair of bi-focus glasses.
20 Feb 10 De Bron Ave
At 22h22 a NON Member from De Bron Ave contacted the Control Centre and reported that as he was walking his dog on corner of De Bron & Dawn Ave's, his dog suddenly stopped and froze. Shortly thereafter two black men came out of the bushes. No harm was done to him or his dog, but he requested for the KNI Armed Response to be on the lookout. KNI Armed Response responded and reported no sign of the two men. When the operator contacted the NON member to inform of feedback, his dog started to bark in the background aggressively. KNI Armed Response responded and investigated. KNI Armed Response reported that he found all in order.
20 Feb 10 Tafelberg Ave
At 01h00 a KNI Member from Tafelberg Ave contacted the Control Centre and complained about his neighbours dogs that were barking. KNI Armed Response responded at 01h01 and reported back all was found in order after inspecting the premises. The KNI Member was contacted and given feedback.
19 Feb 10 Tafelberg Ave
At 22h12 a resident from Tafelberg Ave contacted the Control Centre and reported a white Corsa bakkie with a canopy, reg number CY 10123, that was driving in the open field, doing 360º hand break turns. KNI Armed Response responded at 23h09 and SAPS Constable Jodie was notified at Durbanville police station. KNI Armed Response reported that on arrival, the driver of the bakkie spotted him and drove off. The KNI Armed Response Officer caught up with him in van Riebeeck Ave. KNI Armed Response informed them the SAPS was en route and the driver requested KNI Armed Response to stop the police from coming. "He and his friends were only having some fun" and would leave the area and go home. They were followed out of the area.
19 Feb 10 Upper Kenridge Ave
At 11h01 KNI Armed Response found 3 black men each with a bag full of empty bottles in Upper Kenridge Ave and escorted them out of the area.
18 Feb 10 Bulawayo Ave
At 20h55 KNI Armed Response reported to the Control Centre a suspicious red City Golf reg CY 26329 parked in front of a house in Bulawayo Ave, and the KNI Members are not at home. The occupant of the driver was a white male. After several "drive-by's" the vehicle drove off.
18 Feb 10 Fairmont High School
At 02h35 KNI Armed Response reported to the Control Centre that he noticed the side gate standing open at Fairmont High School and on inspection found an empty Corolla (newest model) reg CL48868 parked in parking area.
17 Feb 10 Kanonberg St
At 06h29 KNI Armed Response reported to the Control Centre, that he noticed a silver Ford Focus at a house in Kanonberg St, De Bron, which was on bricks. KNI Armed Response woke up the owner who was very much surprised about the situation. SAPS Const Jurgens was informed at Durbanville police station. The owner was very thankful for informing him.
