01 Feb 10 De Bron Ave
At 16h15 a KNI Officer helped a NON Member in De Bron Ave, with a drunk man at their property. The NON Member was very happy with our services and is interested in becoming a member of KNI.
30 Jan 10 Meerendal Rd
At 08h50 a KNI Member from Meerendal Rd contacted the Control Centre and reported 3 black men walking in Vrymansfontein Rd, knocking on all the doors. KNI Armed Response responded and reported back at 08h56. KNI Armed Response had found them in Kuiperskraal St and apparently they were collecting scrap metal. KNI Armed Response also found an engine block in their trolley. When questioned as to where they "picked up" the engine block they said a resident in Kuiperskraal St had given it to them. The resident in Kuiperskraal St confirmed their story.
30 Jan 10 Ongegund St
At 11h10 a KNI Member from Ongegund St contacted the Control Centre and reported a white Toyota bakkie with three occupants driving slowly in Diemersdal Rd and it looks as if they were stealing manhole covers. KNI Armed Response responded at 11h12 and reported back at 11h22. KNI Armed Response could not find such a vehicle in the area, but will keep an eye open for them when patrolling the area.
29 Jan 10 Door de Kraal Rd
At 18h02 a member of the public contacted the Control Centre and reported a dark green Opal Kadett parked at the upper side of Door de Kraal above the dam. The driver, who has been seen there previously, normally makes as if his car has broken down, but then drives off again. KNI Armed Response responded at 18h03 and reported back at 18h07. KNI Armed Response reported the suspicious car is not to be found at the given area, but will keeps his eyes open for the vehicle during his night shift.
29 Jan 10 Kenridge Ave
At 09h53 a KNI Member from Kenridge Ave contacted the Control Centre and reported a suspicious white vehicle that had been standing opposite their home with 2 men, smoking cigarettes. KNI Armed Response responded at 09h53. The KNI Member called back shortly and asked to cancel the KNI Armed Response vehicle. The owner of the house had returned and the men, who the owner knew, followed her inside the house as they had been waiting for her. All was in order. KNI Armed Response was cancelled at 09h54.
29 Jan 10 Kenridge Close
At 22h16 KNI Armed Response reported to the Control Centre that there was a banana yellow old Mercedes Benz CAM ----- parked in Kenridge Close. (Never been there before.) Durbanville SAPS Const Manyebee was informed and he confirmed the Mercedes Benz was not stolen. He asked KNI Armed Response to be on a lookout for a stolen blue golf CA 755264.
29 Jan 10 Tafelberg Ave
At 20h35 a KNI Member from Kenridge Close informed KNI Armed Response of a lost dog wandering in Tafelberg Ave. The neighbours in Tafelberg Ave confirmed the dog does belong to them and the dog jumps over the fence.
28 Jan 10 Tulbagh Ave
At 13h05 a KNI Member from Tulbagh Ave contacted the Control Centre and reported that someone had tried to steal her vehicle, but did not succeed and stole the radio instead.
27 Jan 10 Soshanna Rd
Att 11h15 a KNI Armed Response Officer informed the Control Center that he was stopped by a Chubb Armed Response officer who informed him of a situation at a house in Soshanna Rd. It was found that 2 men had followed the residents into their house and held a firearm on them and demanded goods. SAPS were already on the scene and the two black suspects fled with 2 wallets, 1 set of car keys, 1 cell phone and a handbag. The one suspect was wearing blue jeans, a blue shirt and a blue cap and the other was wearing black pants and a black shirt. The suspects were not apprehended.
27 Jan 10 Woolf St
At 01h55 a KNI Member from Woolf St contacted the Control Centre and reported a car accident in Woolf Street. KNI Armed Response responded and reported a Land Rover Sport, CA ______, drove into a lamp pole and power box and the occupants were nowhere to be found. The SAPS were informed. The owner of the vehicle was later found.
