At 23h06 KNI Armed Response informed the Control Centre regarding an open garage door in Upper Kenridge Ave. The KNI Member was informed.
26 Jan 10 Upper Kenridge Ave
At 02h23 a KNI Member from Upper Kenridge Ave contacted the Control Centre and reported he heard noises in his garage. KNI Armed Response responded at 02h33 and arrived at 02h35. KNI Armed Response reported back at 02h45 they found all in order and no sign of forced entry. The KNI Member was given feedback and he asked for extra patrols.
25 Jan 10 Kenridge Area
At 08h40 KNI Armed Response reported to the Control Center, on patrol he noticed a coloured male with bags laying under a tree near the footbridge. KNI Armed Response stopped and confronted him. He replied he is homeless and makes his living by scratching in dirt bins. His bags were searched and no irregularities were found.
25 Jan 10 Kuiperskraal St
At 09h50 KNI Armed Response asked for backup in Kuiperskraal St. As KNI Armed Response was patrolling, he saw two African men laying on the grass near the vibacrete walls, when they spotted the patrol vehicle, they tried to lay even lower. KNI Armed Response stopped and went on foot. When KNI Armed Response rounded the corner on foot, the men were missing. When KNI Armed Response arrived, he went to knock on the doors to see if anyone was home to gain access and get permission to check the properties for those men. Unfortunately no one was home and they then drove down to the river frontage to patrol further on foot. The men were not found at all.
24 Jan 10 Hofmeyer St
At 05h33 KNI Armed Response reported to the Control Centre that there was a burst water pipe in front of a KNI Members home in Hofmeyer Street. The KNI Member was informed and he in turn informed the municipality.
24 Jan 10 Kenridge Centre
At 02h56 KNI Armed Response reported to the Control Centre that the guard at the Kenridge Centre saw a tall black man, wearing black clothing and white tekkies, who tried to force the door open at the Laundry shop. KNI Armed Response followed the man and SAPS Constable James was informed and who said the van will be dispatched.

At 09h40 KNI Armed Response reported an open garage door at a KNI Members house in Phesantekraal St. At 09h41 the owner was informed and he confirmed he is at home and all is ok.

At 14h25 a KNI Member from Phesantekraal St contacted the Control Centre and reported a suspicious white male, wearing blue jeans and a white and blue t-shirt, asking for money. KNI Armed Response found the man walking in Vrymansfontein St. The man confirmed he was recently released from jail and was looking for some money to get home to Johannesburg. KNI Armed Response requested the man to remove himself from the area.
24 Jan 10 Salisbury Ave
At 12h41 a KNI Member from Salisbury Ave contacted the Control Centre and reported she heard a dog in great distress (sounded like it was being throttled) from a home also in Salisbury Ave. KNI Armed Response responded at 12h41 and reported back at 12h47. KNI Armed Response had spoken to the resident at the house and he confirmed there is a new puppy inside the house and is not used to being on his own. A KNI Member from Bulawayo Ave also came down to enquire and both KNI Members were given feedback.

At 10h59 KNI Armed Response reported to the Control Centre about a white Isuzu bakkie, CY 389534, in van Riebeeck Ave, collecting rubbish.
