19 Jan 10 7/11 Kenridge
At 23h59 a Panic was received from the 7/11 in Kenridge and on arrival it was found that the guard was chasing 3 men. KNI Armed Response Officers caught up with them and it was explained that they were looking for some change. Their car had broken down and needed to make a call. They were also seen approaching a gentleman withdrawing money from the ATM. They were then asked to leave the area. They were later found at round about 00:27 and a Nissan white bakkie (with canopy) picked them up CA 572 713 (Old Model)
19 Jan 10 Bulawayo Ave
At 17h20 a KNI Member from 14 Bulawayo Ave contacted the Control Centrer and reported a donkey cart in Bulawayo Ave stealing the manhole covers. KNI Armed Response responded at 17h21 and reported back at 17h30. They found them in Salisbury Ave. Kni Armed Response reported that they found one knife & two screwdrivers on them and asked them to leave the area. The KNI Member was given feedback at 17h35.
19 Jan 10 Diemersdal Rd
At 11h15 a KNI Member from Diemersdal Road contacted the Control Centre and reported a man in front of her house, digging holes and she was never notified about this. KNI Armed Response responded at 11h16 and reported back at 11h18. KNI Armed Response spoke to the gentleman and he said he works for two other residents in Diemersdal Road. The KNI Member was called back for confirmation and she only realised then that it was her gardener, Daantjie.
19 Jan 10 Ongegund St
At 11h14 a KNI Member from Ongegund St contacted the Control Centre and reported suspicious black men going from door to door. KNI Armed Response responded at 11h16. KNI Armed Response reported that he had found them in Roozeboom Street and asked them to remove themselves from the area.
19 Jan 10 Schabort Cr
At 01h42 KNI Armed Response reported a white Toyota truck with his headlights still on, outside a house in Schabort Cr (NON member). KNI Armed Response said he will try to make contact with the resident. Contact was made over the intercom and the lady replied her son left his lights on and is thankful for our service.
18 Jan 10 Alison Rd
At 04h25 KNI Armed Response informed the Control Center about an open driveway gate found in Alison Rd. The KNI Member was contacted and informed.
17 Jan 10 Door de Kraal Ave
At 01h15 a KNI Member in Door de Kraal Ave contacted the Control Center and reported loud music was coming from a residents house near her. KNI Armed Response responded at 01h16 and reported back at 01h23 that he had asked the residents to please turn the music softer.
17 Jan 10 Village Close
At 14h05 a KNI Member from Village Close contacted the Control Center and reported that two coloured men, driving a donkey cart, were trying to kick down a post box in Door de Kraal Ave. KNI Armed Response responded at 14h06 and reported back at 14h20. He had found the men and escorted them out of the area.
15 Jan 10 Kenridge Area
At 00h20 KNI Armed Response reported that there was a white male, who was sitting in the passenger side of a car, under the influence. Next to him was a cell phone that kept on ringing. The KNI Armed Response Officer answered the cell phone and spoke to a lady and requested that it would be best for her to come and fetch the gentleman. The lady came to fetch then gentleman at 00h36.
14 Jan 10 Alf St
At 10h10 KNI Armed Response asked for assistance from the SAPS in Alf Street. KNI Armed Response had found a coloured man in Alf Street. He was searched and found items that could have been stolen. The man said he got the items from a house in Alison Street. SAPS and KNI Armed Response took the man to the physical address, but there was no one home to confirm the story. SAPS said they will take the items and put them away for a period of time and see if someone lays a complaint of theft or if the owner will come forward and claim the goods.
