30 Sep 09 Roozeboom St
At 10h15 a KNI Member from Roozeboom St contacted the Control Center and reported there is a very suspicious black man with a red cap, carrying a 2lt water bottle. He is in Vrymansfontein Rd(at the complexes) and as she drove pass he jumped behind the dirt bins. KNI Armed Response Officer responded at 10h16. The KNI Officer reported back at 10h42 that the person as described could not be seen and he could only see the 2lt water bottle - will do patrols. KNI Officer reported back that he spotted the man and escorted him out of the KNI area and he is currently en route to Jip de Jager to the Welgemoed area. The KNI Member was contacted and given feedback at 10h48. Client was very happy with the service and follow-ups.
30 Sep 09 Soshanna Rd
At 07h49 a KNI Member from Soshanna Rd contacted the Control Center and reported a suspicious coloured man wearing a blue & black checked shirt - he went into a house close to her house in Soshanna Rd. KNI Armed Response Officers responded at 07h50. KNI Officers reported back at 07h54 there was no such person in the street and the house where this man went in is currently NOT a member of KNI. The KNI member was contacted and given feedback on voice mail.
29 Sep 09 Kenridge General Area
At 09h34 KNI Armed Response Officer reported that a gardener found plus minus 20 shotgun rounds. SAPS Constable Carolus confirmed he would send out a van. KNI Oficer was informed at 11h49 that a van is en route.
28 Sep 09 Tafelberg Rd
At 09h03 a KNI Member contacted the Control Center and reported a suspicious man, walking from Tafelberg Rd towards Kenridge Heights. A KNI Armed Response Officer responded and reported back that the suspicious person is not to be found or seen in the nearby vicinity.
28 Sep 09 Kenridge Close
At 11h46 a KNI Officer reported to the Control Center that there was an open garage door in Kenridge Close. The client was contacted and confirmed that the domestic is on site and she always leaves the garage door open, when it is very hot. The perpetrators have to pass their dog first!
28 Sep 09 Tafelberg Rd
At 12h30 a KNI Armed Response Officer reported an alarm had been activated at a house in Tafelberg Rd. The controller tried to contact the client, but to no success.
28 Sep 09 Woolf St
At 12h30 a KNI Armed Response Officer reported that an alarm had been activated in a house in Woolf St. The controller tried to contact the client, but to no success. KNI Armed Response Officer said he would wait for ADT to arrive. The KNI Officer reported back at 13h03 all was well. ADT did arrive and investigated the premises.
28 Sep 09 Kleingedacht (NON CLIENT)
At 08h18 a non-client from Kleingedacht contacted the Control Center and reported a suspicious grey station wagon with some kind of sales logo between Diemersdal & Simon Crescent. A KNI Armed Response Officer responded and reported back at 08h33 that they are plasterers and were waiting for a client to come and meet them.
23 Sep 09 Schabort Cr
At 12h32 a KNI Member from Schabort Cr contacted the Control Centre and reported that a suspicious black man was walking in Schabort Crescent, carrying a lot of pool equipment. The KNI Member has never seen him before in the area. KNI Armed Response Officer responded at 12h33 and reported back at 12h38. The man is working for Prime Care (a pool cleaning company) and they had dropped him off at a certain place and will pick him up at another. The KNI Member was given feedback at 12h41.
22 Sep 09 Glen Way
At 09h31 KNI Armed Response reported to the Control Centre that a garage door was open at a KNI Member's home in Glen Way. The KNI Member was contacted on her cellphone and she confirmed that she is almost in Somerset West. The KNI Member will turn around and come back and asked the KNI Officer to stand by until she gets home. KNI Officer stood by for client and confirmed that the client arrived at 10h03. The KNI Officer and the KNI Member checked the garage and the KNI Member confirmed nothing was stolen.
