29 Jul 09 Vrymansfontein St
At 13h55 a KNI Member from Vrymansfontein St contacted the Control Center and reported a suspicious coloured man standing under a tree with a screwdriver in his hand, wearing a black windbreaker-like jacket and a black cap. KNI Response Officer responded at 13h56 and reported back at 13h57 that the suspicious man is actually checking out the meters and drains, they are part of a team, and unfortunately they use the screwdriver to open up the drains & meters. The KNI Member was given feedback.
28 Jul 09 Altydgedaght Cres
At 03h00 a KNI Member from Altydgedaght had a positive break in. The KNI Member was woken up by the sound of glass breaking. He then went to investigate and found 2 men carrying his 42" TV, when they saw him, they threw a brick at him. He immediately ran back to the bedroom, locked the door and pressed the panic button. KNI Response Officer was notified as well as SAPS Durbanville. KNI Response Officer reported while en route to the premises, another resident from Altydgedaght Cres stopped him and showed him the direction the perpetrators went. SAPS was on scene and followed the direction which they went, but to no success.

At 11h53 a KNI Member from de Villiers Ave contacted the Control Center and reported a positive break in. It happened yesterday, the 25 July 2009 between the hours of 12h00 -16h00. SAPD was already informed.
26 Jul 09 Kenridge Centre
At 06h45 KNI Response Officer reported to the Control Centre an abandoned Opel Kadette (old type) CFR 27554 was at the Kenridge Centre. SAPS Constable Blom was informed and will send a van to investigate.
25 Jul 09 De Bron Ave
At 15h50 a KNI Member from de Bron Ave contacted the Control Centre and reported a suspicious person currently in De Bron. KNI Response Officer responded and reported back all in order, no such person to be seen.
25 Jul 09 Upper Kenridge Ave
At 02h25 a KNI Member from Upper Kenridge Ave contacted the Control Centre and reported a positive break in and reported her laptop were stolen. KNI Response Officer responded at 02h26.

At 09h12 a lady from the public (she did not want to give her details - wanted to stay anonymous ) contacted the Control Centre and reported 2 black men , 1 standing outside the property and the other one standing inside the property knocking on the door, with a bag on him. KNI Response Officer responded at 09h13 and reported all in order - no persons with that description found. Will be on the lookout while doing patrols.
23 Jul 09 Tulbagh Ave
At 10h18 a KNI Member from Tulbagh Ave contacted the Control Centre and reported she had an attempted break in the early morning (5 a.m.) There was a vehicle with 3 black men outside. They forced the gate open and unscrewed the spotlight. They also bent a pin at the gate for easy opening and closing. The KNI Member also thinks they wanted to steal her old shape BMW, as well as a beam at the gate. KNI Response Officer was informed at 10h20 and the member requested extra patrols for the evenings.

At 08h10 a KNI Member from Bulawayo Ave contacted the Control Centre and reported that for the past 2 - 3 days there were 2 coloured men sitting on pavement opposite her house, they are normally there from the hours of 6h30. KNI Response Officer responded at 08h15 and reported all in order. KNI Response Officer will investigate the next morning.

At 12h35 a KNI Member from Durbell Rd reported two very dark men in a white Nissan sedan in the area and asking residents whether they want to sell their jewellery and gold. KNI Response Officer was informed and will be on the lookout..
