06 Jul 09 Kenridge Ave
At 10h50 KNI Armed Response reported to the Control Center that a white Tazz in Kenridge Ave is parked at a house with the lights on. KNI Control Room contacted Informed the KNI Member re: the vehicle and lights at 10h52, the KNI Member confirmed it is his vehicle and thanked us for the service.
04 Jul 09 Schabort Cr
At 07h45KNI Response Officer reported an open gate at a KNI Members home in Schabort Cr. The client was contacted in this regard. A voicemail message was left and the KNI Member responded at 07h49. The KNI Member confirmed he did open the gate, due to feeding the doves. All was in order.
03 Jul 09 Soshanna Rd
At 02h30 KNI Response Officer reported to the Control Center that there were police vans with flashing lights aswell as ADT bakkies in Soshanna Rd. One of the ADT Officers reported to KNI Response Officer that they responded to an alarm in Evans Street and then they saw 3 men, each with armed with rifles, shooting in Lorelei Str. SAPS asked the response officers to withdraw from the area for their own safety.
01 Jul 09 Kenridge Ave
At 07h50 a KNI Member from Kenridge Ave contacted the Control Center and reported an incident that took place approximately +- 02h00 that morning. Her neighbour's dog had been barking the whole night. She saw the KNI vehicle driving past her house and assumed all was in order until the neighbour contacted her later that morning and told her that there had been someone in her backyard. The intruder most probably jumped over the fence into Tulbagh Ave. No forced entry.
01 Jul 09 Mildred Ave
At 13h44 a KNI Member from Mildred Ave contacted the Control Center and reported a black man wearing a navy uniform tried to force her gate open and a small white bakkie with no canopy driving slowly in the street. The black man was walking slowly next to the bakkie. KNI Response Officer responded at 13h44 and reported back at 13h50 no bakkie or person with that description to be found driving or walking in the nearby vicinity, but will be on the lookout, while doing his patrols.
30 Jun 09 Bulawayo Ave
At 08h55 a KNI Member from Bulawayo Ave contacted the Control Center and reported that he might have seen one of the suspicious vehicles (also as per sms received). He saw the dark blue car, it look like a Honda Ballade, driving down Bulawayo Ave towards Reservoir Rd. KNI Armed Response Officer responded at 09h10 and he patrolled the area. He did not see the car in the area.
30 Jun 09 De Villiers Ave
At 11h12 a KNI Member from De Villiers Ave contacted the Control Center and reported a black man, wearing blue overalls, hanging around in De Villiers Ave. He has bandages around his head. KNI Armed Response Officer was informed at 11h25. Reason for the delay, at time of call, Kenridge Response Officer was already enroute to an alarm activation in Bulawayo Ave. Kenridge Response Officer reported no such person with that description to be seen, but will be on the lookout while doing his patrols.
30 Jun 09 Kenridge Centre
At 09h55 a non Member contacted the Control Center and reported he saw a suspicious vehicle parked at the Vineyard Deli, Kenridge. KNI Armed Response Officer responded at 09h56. The suspicious vehicle had already driven off. All was in order.

29 Jun 09 Tafelberg Rd
At 11h53 a KNI Member from Tafelberg Rd contacted the Control Center and reported a suspicious vehicle that she had seen that morning around 9h30 when she drove out of her garage. She spotted a dark blue car with more or less the matching registration number as the sms she had received earlier. There were three men in the vehicle. They drove past her and then reversed as she was pulling out, as if they wanted to see what valuables were in the garage. When they saw her gazing at them, they drove off slowly, into Zambezi Road. She followed them from a distance; they then stopped at an empty house, which is TO LET. The one gentleman, tall with a light complex, got out the car and walked towards the house. He was wearing blue overall pants and a grey jersey. He then came back bare handed. On the gate there is a "BEWARE OF THE DOG" sign on.
27 Jun 09 Schabort Crs
A KNI Member from Schabort Crs was contacted by the KNI Control Center regarding his gate which was open. He was in Kuilsriver at that stage, but his son was at home. who confirmed that one "wheel cap" from his car was missing. The perpertrator was apparently disturbed as he had run away leaving his cap and jacket. The KNI Member was very pleased by our service. His neighbour had also contacted the KNI Control Center and reported an attempted break-in at the premises.
