08 Jun 09 Meerendal
At 13h50 a KNI Member from Meerendal St contacted the Control Center and reported a suspicious 2L light blue, Ford Sierra, CA 109672. KNI Armed Response responded at 13h51 and reported the vehicle is currently not in the area but will keep a look out for the vehicle during patrols.
08 Jun 09 Kuiperskraal Rd
At 17h52 a KNI Member from Kuiperskraal Rd contacted the KNI Control Center and reported a coloured person laying half on sidewalk, half in road. Not sure whether he is drunk, or dead. The KNI Armed Response Officer responded at 17h53 and reported this person is very much under the influence of alcohol and needs to be removed from public. SAPS Const Scheppers was informed of the situation and he said a van would be dispatched as soon as possible.

At 11h31 a KNI Member from Tafelberg Rd contacted the Control Center and reported they had an attempted break in during the night. KNI Armed Response Officer responded at 11h32.
03 Jun 09 Bulawayo Ave
This is an UPDATE from a KNI member who was burgled on the 21 May.
"I circulated information regarding my stolen music equipment to music stores.
I received a tip off from one of them where the burglars were trying to sell it.
The thief was so brazen he left his phone number and name.
I gave this to the Durbanville Detective branch last week.
I thought our guys were too busy chasing killers and rapist to do anything about it.
Const. Petersen of Durbanville SAPS phoned me today to tell me they got my stuff back and the thief is in jail.
This proves that you can't just sit back and expect the insurance to pay and the cops and your security companies to do everything.
You have to participate. So again, photograph your prized possessions especially small stuff that can be sold quickly for drugs and record the serial numbers. Do circulate it to second hand shops like Cash Crusaders. If anything you are warning the shop owners that the items are stolen."

At 10h00 a KNI Member from Phesantekraal Ave, contacted the Control Center and reported an empty house in their road (not a member of KNI). No one is currently living there. KNI Armed Response responded 10h02 and will keep their eyes on the house.
01 Jun 09 Soshanna Rd
At 11h58 a KNI Member from Soshanna Road, contacted the KNI Control Center and reported a man with an orange jacket with "City of Cape Town" written on it, she did drive around and said there is no roadworks being done close to where he is walking. KNI Armed Response responded at 12h00 and reported this man is working for the city council and is currently checking out which storm drain lids were removed so they can replace them.

At 15h44 a KNI Member from Upper Kenridge Ave contacted the Control Center and reported a suspicious coloured gentleman walking from house to house wearing blue tracksuit pants and a red shirt. KNI Armed Response responded at 15h45 and reported he is aware of this gentleman, as he sells compost in the area.
30 May 09 Schabort Crescent
At 06H15 a KNI Member contacted the KNI Control Room to report a suspicious Nissan bakkie in Schabort Crescent. KNI Armed Response Officer was sent to the scene. All was in order.
29 May 09 Maestricht Rd
At 21H26 a KNI Member reported that there was a suspicious man in Maestricht Rd. KNI Armed Response Officer responded, the man had moved out of the area.
29 May 09 Soshana Rd
At 08H21 a KNI Member from Soshana Rd phoned the Control Room to report his children missing.
KNI Armed Response was sent to his premises to get photos of the missing children. The KNI Member phoned in to say that his children had arrived at his house and all was in order.
